Les escumes de PU flexibles es van desenvolupar i es van comen\u00e7ar a usar en seients d&#8217;autom\u00f2bil a principis dels 50. En els 90, es van desenvolupar les primeres escumes de baixes emissions i, a causa del control de les emanacions, es van estendre als materials utilitzats sota la superf\u00edcie, com els coixins de seients. Es va demanar als prove\u00efdors de mat\u00e8ries primeres que investiguessin les fonts de les emanacions i treballessin amb els OEM per a reduir la seva quantitat total. En aquest moment, els surfactants de silicona exercien un paper clau en les baixes emissions. En 2018 es va publicar una descripci\u00f3 general de les emissions i els m\u00e8todes anal\u00edtics utilitzats per a analitzar les emissions d&#8217;escuma de PU, per\u00f2 es va centrar principalment en emissions segons m\u00e8todes ben establerts com VDA 278, que \u00e9s un dels m\u00e8todes est\u00e0ndard europeus. Ja que altres mercats, com la zona econ\u00f2mica d&#8217;\u00c0sia-Pac\u00edfic, poden tenir diferents requisits i est\u00e0ndards de qualitat quant a emissions, resumim en aquest document els principals components vol\u00e0tils que actualment es controlen en aquesta regi\u00f3 i com s&#8217;analitzen. Tamb\u00e9 discutim dades anal\u00edtiques sobre la contribuci\u00f3 dels surfactants de silicona a les emissions i com poden millorar-se per a complir amb els requisits del client.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><b> Introducci\u00f3<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Els fabricants d&#8217;equips originals l\u00edders del mercat d&#8217;automoci\u00f3 busquen reduir les emissions dels seus components de pl\u00e0stic, seguint la tend\u00e8ncia de clients a tot el m\u00f3n que busquen condicions ambientals amb menor intensitat d&#8217;emissions. Els components org\u00e0nics vol\u00e0tils (COV) baixos s\u00f3n, per tant, un requisit de la ind\u00fastria i diferents m\u00e8todes s&#8217;han utilitzat a tot el m\u00f3n per a les proves de materials. Alguns requisits es reconeixen generalment en alguns pa\u00efsos o \u00e0rees econ\u00f2miques, com els m\u00e8todes VDA (Verband der Automobilindustrie) a Europa, mentre que altres m\u00e8todes comparables.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En la zona econ\u00f2mica d&#8217;\u00c0sia-Pac\u00edfic, el control de les emissions de compostos molt vol\u00e0tils, espec\u00edficament un grup d&#8217;aldehids i subst\u00e0ncies arom\u00e0tiques, a m\u00e9s del control de l&#8217;olor en els components pl\u00e0stics ha tingut una gran import\u00e0ncia en els \u00faltims anys.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La principal preocupaci\u00f3 \u00e9s una llista de subst\u00e0ncies molt vol\u00e0tils, estant les m\u00e9s analitzades resumides (*) DL50 per via oral en rates.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La llista de subst\u00e0ncies vol\u00e0tils inclou una varietat d&#8217;estructures arom\u00e0tiques, tres aldehids i acroleina. Es caracteritzen per un baix punt d&#8217;ebullici\u00f3 (per sota de 150 \u00b0C), i respecte a la seva toxicitat (segons les dades de LD50 (dosi letal per a matar al 50% de la poblaci\u00f3 de prova)) els valors s\u00f3n bastant variables, des de subst\u00e0ncies perilloses com la acroleina i formaldehid a subst\u00e0ncies amb menys toxicitat com el tolu\u00e8.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Algunes de les subst\u00e0ncies anteriors tamb\u00e9 causen olor. Aquesta \u00e9s una queixa general dels consumidors quan entren en contacte pr\u00f2xim amb productes que contenen peces de pl\u00e0stic, especialment quan s&#8217;han fabricat recentment. L&#8217;olor \u00e9s un sentit molt sensible i es considera extremadament dif\u00edcil determinar quantitativament les olors a trav\u00e9s d&#8217;equip d&#8217;an\u00e0lisi. Per\u00f2 es va observar que les emissions d&#8217;uns certs aldehids no eren tan baixes com requereixen alguns clients.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">M\u00e9s recentment i considerant les necessitats oposades en la zona econ\u00f2mica d&#8217;\u00c0sia-Pac\u00edfic respecte a les emissions i l&#8217;olor, s&#8217;ha desenvolupat una nova fam\u00edlia d&#8217;additius sota el nom comercial Concentrol STB PU-12XX PFJ.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Les noves refer\u00e8ncies havien mostrat excel\u00b7lents resultats d&#8217;emissions, baix m\u00e8todes ben establerts com VDA-278 i tamb\u00e9 respecte a aldehids, subst\u00e0ncies arom\u00e0tiques i olor, comparades amb surfactants existents. Els materials havien estat avaluats en diferents pa\u00efsos i utilitzant diferents m\u00e8todes, mostrant en tots els casos valors millorats en comparaci\u00f3 amb els materials fabricats amb Concentrol STB PU-12XX PF. Tamb\u00e9 van mostrar, en la majoria de casos, millors valors d&#8217;emissions en comparaci\u00f3 amb altres refer\u00e8ncies disponibles ben establertes en el mercat.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><b> M\u00e8todes de COV<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Els components de COV gasosos emesos per les mostres de prova es capturen i identifiquen segons el m\u00e8tode triat. Resultats<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La primera an\u00e0lisi es va realitzar directament en la mostra de cada surfactant de silicona. Per tant, les subst\u00e0ncies analitzades formaven part de l\u2019estabilitzant, eren subproductes de la reacci\u00f3 o eren subst\u00e0ncies afegides no intencionalment (NIAS), provinents del proc\u00e9s o de les mat\u00e8ries primeres utilitzades.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Respecte als aldehids, es creu que s\u00f3n productes de degradaci\u00f3 (principalment de processos d&#8217;oxidaci\u00f3), la majoria d&#8217;ells procedents de la part de poli\u00e8ter del surfactant. No es creu que la cadena principal de silox\u00e0 sigui un component principal de les emissions d&#8217;aldehid, ni de les arom\u00e0tiques. Normalment, les emissions de COV de la cadena principal de silox\u00e0 s\u00f3n siloxans lineals de baix pes molecular i estructures c\u00edcliques (Dx), que generalment s&#8217;analitzen b\u00e9 mitjan\u00e7ant m\u00e8todes de desorci\u00f3 t\u00e8rmica com el VDA278.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Les subst\u00e0ncies arom\u00e0tiques poden ser presents a causa del proc\u00e9s qu\u00edmic (residus dels dissolvents utilitzats en la reacci\u00f3) o poden ser NIAS. El proc\u00e9s qu\u00edmic dep\u00e8n de cada fabricant, i la preparaci\u00f3 de surfactants sense l&#8217;\u00fas de cap component arom\u00e0tic \u00e9s, per tant, un clar avantatge. En Concentrol, la preparaci\u00f3 dels estabilitzants sempre es realitza en una s\u00edntesi lliure de components arom\u00e0tics.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>4.1 Emissions de surfactants de silicona. Especialment respecte als aldehids, els valors obtinguts s\u00f3n clarament millors en comparaci\u00f3 amb els surfactants de silicona comparatius. En tots els casos, el propionaldehid \u00e9s la principal font d&#8217;emissions de tipus aldehid.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li><b> An\u00e0lisi de COV i olors d&#8217;escumes de poliuret\u00e0.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A m\u00e9s dels resultats de les emissions mesurades directament en el surfactant de silicona vist en l&#8217;an\u00e0lisi anterior, tamb\u00e9 es van investigar els valors de les emissions de les mostres d&#8217;escuma de PU. En el primer experiment (5.1) es van comparar tres refer\u00e8ncies de PFJ entre si, i tamb\u00e9 amb un surfactant de refer\u00e8ncia (mostra G), analitzant tant les emissions de COV com una llista de deu subst\u00e0ncies que se sap que s\u00f3n fonts d&#8217;olor. El segon experiment (5.2) compara les emissions de silicona STB PU-1259 PFJ (dues dosis) amb les oposades usant dos estabilitzants est\u00e0ndards.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>5.1 Comparaci\u00f3 entre tres refer\u00e8ncies de PFJ i un surfactant est\u00e0ndard<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Es van preparar quatre escumes usant tres estabilitzants PFJ i una escuma de refer\u00e8ncia usant un surfactant est\u00e0ndard. En les escumes es van analitzar les emissions de COV (vuit components) i les emissions d&#8217;olor (deu components). La Figura 3 i la Taula 5 il\u00b7lustren els resultats dels vuit components de COV, i la Figura 4 i la Taula 6 il\u00b7lustren els resultats de deu components d&#8217;olor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El m\u00e8tode utilitzat va ser MS 300-55 <\/span><b>(Hyundai-Kia)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Per a la preparaci\u00f3 de la mostra, es va introduir 1 g de mostra d&#8217;escuma en una bossa de pl\u00e0stic amb un volum de 3 l, es va introduir nitrogen omplint el volum complet de 3 l. La bossa de mostra es va escalfar a 65 \u00b0C durant 2 h. Es va usar un cartutx DPNH i un tub Tenax per a l&#8217;adsorci\u00f3 de COV. El primer objectiu era analitzar si les emissions de COV tenen una relaci\u00f3 directa amb la dosi de surfactant. El segon objectiu era dur a terme una comparaci\u00f3 entre STB PU-1259 PFJ, un estabilitzant recomanat per a escumes a base de TDI i dos estabilitzants est\u00e0ndard ben coneguts del mercat. Es van analitzar les escumes per a les emissions de COV (set components). El m\u00e8tode utilitzat va ser TSM 0508 G (Toyota) i els resultats es resumeixen i il\u00b7lustren en la Figura 5 i la Taula 7.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Respecte al primer objectiu, els resultats mostren que augmentant la dosi del surfactant tamb\u00e9 augmenta les emissions de COV, encara que l&#8217;augment no \u00e9s molt alt. Aix\u00f2 pot explicar-se a causa d&#8217;una baixa contribuci\u00f3 de COV de STB PU-1259 PFJ. Encara que la subst\u00e0ncia s&#8217;usa en quantitats m\u00e9s altes, la contribuci\u00f3 final a les emissions totals de COV \u00e9s baixa.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La comparaci\u00f3 de STB PU-1259 PFJ amb els dos estabilitzants est\u00e0ndard mostra que les emissions s\u00f3n similars, a excepci\u00f3 del propionaldehid, on STB PU-1259 PFJ i la refer\u00e8ncia H ofereixen el millor resultat en comparaci\u00f3 amb la refer\u00e8ncia I.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image media=\u00bb118720&#8243; media_width_percent=\u00bb100&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fig. 5: Emissions d&#8217;escuma (COV). La ind\u00fastria de l&#8217;automoci\u00f3 s&#8217;ha centrat en la reducci\u00f3 de COV i l&#8217;olor de les peces interiors dels autom\u00f2bils. Tenint aix\u00f2 en compte, la demanda de nous additius amb components de baixa volatilitat continua sent una necessitat important.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Si b\u00e9 algunes refer\u00e8ncies existents compleixen amb el requisit de ser lliures de ftalats, estabilitzants amb baix contingut de COV (baix m\u00e8todes de desorci\u00f3 t\u00e8rmica com VDA278), la necessitat d&#8217;escumes amb baix contingut d&#8217;aldehid, arom\u00e0tic i d&#8217;olor no es va resoldre completament amb la gamma de refer\u00e8ncies existent.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">S&#8217;han dissenyat nous estabilitzants i s&#8217;han provat en escumes de PU comercials per a complir amb els requisits oposats en alguns pa\u00efsos de l&#8217;\u00e0rea d&#8217;\u00c0sia-Pac\u00edfic, respecte a aldehid, arom\u00e0tics i components d&#8217;olor.
