Tant es pot fer servir per a la confecci\u00f3 de recobriments i pintures, per a la conservaci\u00f3 d\u2019aliments o com per a l\u2019a\u00efllament i la construcci\u00f3, entre molts d\u2019altres. El PU \u00e9s un material que cada vegada s\u2019usa m\u00e9s degut a la seva efectivitat, seguretat, lleugeresa i les seves grans qualitats d\u2019a\u00efllament, per exemple. Origin\u00e0riament, per a la fabricaci\u00f3 d\u2019espuma de poliuret\u00e0 es feien servir els gasos CFC, despr\u00e9s els HCFC i, anys despr\u00e9s, es va passar a utilitzar els HFC. El problema amb tots aquests agents amb base de fluor \u00e9s que, tot i els aven\u00e7os que suposaven cada un d\u2019ells per al sector, <\/span><b>seguien sent nocius pel medi ambient.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En estar constantment estudiant el mercat, Concentrol ha detectat la necessitat d\u2019uns nous surfactants de silicona necessaris per a la fabricaci\u00f3 d\u2019espumes a partir d\u2019aquests nous <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">blowing agents<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (agents d\u2019espumaci\u00f3) &#8211; HFO (hidrofluoroolefinas), el <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">blowing agent<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> anomenat \u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ecofriendly<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d. Per aix\u00f2 actualment, despr\u00e9s de dur a terme una tasca intensiva de R+D, s\u2019est\u00e0 fabricant i comercialitzant aquesta nova gamma de surfactants. Aquests productes ajuden als productors de sistemes de poliuret\u00e0 a fabricar solucions d\u2019una <\/span><b>major sensibilitat ecol\u00f2gica.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>HFO: qu\u00e8 \u00e9s i quins beneficis comporta?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">L\u2019HFO \u00e9s un <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">blowing agent<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> que es fa servir com a agent d\u2019expansi\u00f3 per a formar espuma de poliuret\u00e0. Forma part de la quarta generaci\u00f3 de refrigerants i \u00e9s un element de f\u00e0cil conversi\u00f3, segur i d\u2019un baix cost total. A difer\u00e8ncia de la resta de <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">blowing agents<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> d\u2019aquestes caracter\u00edstiques, no s\u00f3n persistents, bioacumulables ni t\u00f2xics, no tenen cap mena d\u2019impacte sobre la capa d\u2019oz\u00f3 i el seu \u00fas suposa un Potencial d\u2019Escalfament Atmosf\u00e8ric (PCA) molt petit. A m\u00e9s a m\u00e9s, cal apuntar que la degradaci\u00f3 de l\u2019HFO pot donar lloc a l\u2019\u00e0cid trifluoroac\u00e8tic (TFA), que en les concentracions actuals no afecta la vida marina, els humans ni el medi ambient. Tal com explica <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sustainability.honeywell.com\/us\/en\/news-and-events\/news\/2020\/06\/the-environmental-benefits-of-hfos\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">un article de sostenibilitat de Honeywell<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, \u201cfins ara, l\u2019\u00fas de refrigerants HFO i agents de bufat han ajudat a evitar l\u2019alliberament de 170 milions de tones m\u00e8triques de CO\u2082 a l\u2019atmosfera, una quantitat equivalent a les emissions de m\u00e9s de 35 milions de vehicles, gaireb\u00e9 tots els que hi ha amb llic\u00e8ncia al Regne Unit\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Totes aquestes caracter\u00edstiques el converteixen en l\u2019alternativa m\u00e9s viable de cara a la sostenibilitat i efici\u00e8ncia energ\u00e8tica. Molts estudiosos coincideixen en dir que l\u2019HFO podria ser, en un futur no gaire lluny\u00e0, el substitut dels HFC, i per aix\u00f2 Concentrol seguir\u00e0 apostant per a tenir solucions adients pel seu \u00fas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Les implicacions dels surfactants de silicona<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Un dels inconvenients m\u00e9s importants que cal tenir en compte a l\u2019hora de treballar amb l\u2019HFO t\u00e9 a veure amb les degradacions derivades del seu \u00fas. A la capa d\u2019oz\u00f3, aquests <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">blowing agents<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> poden donar lloc a les seg\u00fcents dues reaccions qu\u00edmiques:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CH<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">= CFCF<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> + OH \u2014&gt; CF<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">COF + HCHO + H\u2082O + O<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CH<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">= CFCF<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> + + Cl \u2014&gt; CF<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">COF + HC(O)Cl + O<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> + CO<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En el cas concret dels sistemes de PU, el m\u00e9s com\u00fa \u00e9s que el HFO desencadeni la primera d\u2019aquestes reaccions, ja que porten bases (grups OH).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La primera reacci\u00f3 qu\u00edmica dona peu a la reacci\u00f3 n\u00famero tres, que \u00e9s la seg\u00fcent:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CF<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">COF + H\u2082O \u2014&gt; CF<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">COOH + CO\u2082 + HF<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La reacci\u00f3 resultant, formada per CF<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">COOH i HF, \u00e9s el que podria suposar la degradaci\u00f3 dels surfactants, ja que poden donar peu a un medi \u00e0cid i corrosiu, de condicions molt m\u00e9s agressives que els que tenen habitualment. Per analitzar el proc\u00e9s d\u2019envelliment es duen a terme diversos experiments que poden arribar a durar fins a dues setmanes. En aquestes proves s\u2019usen temperatures altes (50-60 \u00b0C), que serveixen per simular un per\u00edode m\u00e9s llarg de temps. Amb aquests processos s\u2019analitza si els surfactants suporten la degradaci\u00f3 que genera el <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">blowing agent<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> HFO.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Les solucions actuals de Concentrol<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">L\u2019equip de recerca de Concentrol segueix focalitzat en investigar surfactants per tota mena d\u2019aplicaci\u00f3 que portin HFO.
