From September 20th to 22nd Barcelona is hosting the 18th edition of the Adhesion and Adhesives Conference, promoted by the Spanish Adhesion and Adhesives Group (GEAA), which this year has entrusted its organization to the Spanish Association of Manufacturers of Glue and Adhesives (ASEFCA).<\/p>\n
These conferences started 18 years ago at the Carlos III University in Madrid and since then they have been held yearly in different Spanish cities. Accompanying the Congress, to be held on September 21st and 22nd, a Workshop on „Sealants and Adhesives“ will be held on September 20th, organized by the Spanish Adhesion and Adhesive Group, where researchers and relevant companies in the sector are going to participate.<\/p>\n
As stated on the congress website, „the technology of adhesives has developed at a high speed in the last two decades and this process is accelerating with the massive use of composites in the manufacture of increasingly complex and critical structures“. In this way, the viability of a product and its design depend on the great importance of the application of adhesives in product design.<\/p>\n
