At Concentrol, we offer a<\/span> range of defoamers based on silicones, mineral oils, vegetable oils, and polymers<\/b>. The trademark for our defoamer range is EMULTROL DFM, and the following letters identify the type of defoamer, its characteristics, and its application grade.<\/span><\/p>\n

Silicone emulsions are identified by the acronym <\/span>DV<\/b>. They are known for their <\/span>high dispersibility in aqueous systems<\/b> and compatibility with a wide range of chemicals. They are effective at low doses, ranging from 0.01% to 0.1%, depending on the type of defoamer. This results in a product with a good effectiveness-to-price ratio.<\/span><\/p>\n

Silicone emulsions are divided into two subfamilies: <\/span>technical-grade silicone emulsions and food-grade silicone emulsions<\/b>, identified by the FG (food grade) acronym, indicating their suitability for use as a food additive according to Regulation (EC) No 1333\/2008.<\/span><\/p>\n

Defoamers based on silicone compounds are identified by the acronym <\/span>CP<\/b>. They are <\/span>100% based on active materials<\/b> and consist of mixtures of hydrophobic silicones and silicas. They have <\/span>high stability against temperature and shear<\/b> and can be used as a base for formulating silicone emulsion defoamers. These silicone compounds are available in both technical and food-grade FG versions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Finally, defoamers in powder form are identified by the acronym <\/span>P<\/b>. They are known for their <\/span>ease of handling and use<\/b>, <\/span>great stability at high temperatures and extreme conditions<\/b>, and are formulated with raw materials suitable for use as food additives.<\/span><\/p>\n
