{"id":115949,"date":"2017-03-01T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2017-02-28T22:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/concentrol.com\/excellent-results-in-the-aging-test-for-the-defoamer-emultrol-olm-17-for-decorative-paints\/"},"modified":"2025-07-24T08:40:30","modified_gmt":"2025-07-24T06:40:30","slug":"excellent-results-in-the-aging-test-for-the-defoamer-emultrol-olm-17-for-decorative-paints","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hosting175685eu-cp704.wordpresstemporal.com\/fr\/excellent-results-in-the-aging-test-for-the-defoamer-emultrol-olm-17-for-decorative-paints\/","title":{"rendered":"Excellent results in the aging test for the defoamer EMULTROL OLM-17 for decorative paints"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The science team in CONCENTROL laboratories has made an extension of the tests of effectiveness of mineral oil based antifoam EMULTROL OLM-17.<a href=\"https:\/\/concentrol.com\/en\/innovation-in-mold-release-agents-for-polyurethane-foams-advantages-and-applications-of-electrostatic-mold-release-agents\/\"> This reference had already been conductedefficacy trials in CONCENTROL laboratories published in our Research Blog<\/a>, currently new tests have been performed to complete the study and obtain detailed information of the stability of the antifoam in decorative paints.<\/p>\n<p>In the latest study we analyzed the stability in time of the antifoaming effectiveness of EMULTROL OLM-17. For their study a paint sample is taken with a 0.2% defoamer and stored at 45 \u00b0 C for one week. Subsequently, the antifoaming effectiveness test is repeated stirring the mixture at 1.300 rpm for 5 minutes and the percentage of air is calculated.<\/p>\n<p>The test has been performed on acrylic based decorative paints and vinyl-veova which are the most used.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-117600 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/concentrol.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Screen-Shot-2020-08-28-at-10.47.33-1024x681.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"840\" height=\"559\" Antifoam test results EMULTROL DFM OLM-17 in different decorative paints.<\/p>\n<p>The results show that EMULTROL DFM OLM-17 has a good antifoam effectiveness on the studied paints, which remains stable over time.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, as has been extensively described in previous studies, this product presents no problems of compatibility with paints. \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/concentrol.com\/en\/innovation-in-mold-release-agents-for-polyurethane-foams-advantages-and-applications-of-electrostatic-mold-release-agents\/\">See efficacy study and complete compatibility EMULTROL DFM OLM-17<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, DFM EMULTROL OLM-17 is a defoamer with a cost-effectiveness that is suitable for the production of a wide variety of paints, decorative
