{"id":137106,"date":"2022-04-13T13:30:24","date_gmt":"2022-04-13T11:30:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/concentrol.com\/concentrol-participates-in-the-international-week-of-the-university-of-girona\/"},"modified":"2022-04-13T13:30:24","modified_gmt":"2022-04-13T11:30:24","slug":"concentrol-participates-in-the-international-week-of-the-university-of-girona","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hosting175685eu-cp704.wordpresstemporal.com\/fr\/concentrol-participates-in-the-international-week-of-the-university-of-girona\/","title":{"rendered":"Concentrol participates in the International Week of the University of Girona"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=\u00a0\u00bb591232&Prime;]<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Last March, the Polytechnic School of the University of Girona (UdG), together with the University of Antwerp (UAntwerp), Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KU Leuven) and Hochschule Merseburg (HoMe), organized the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">BIP International Week<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a program with training sessions for international students on the topic of \u200b\u200bthe emerging field of <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Circularity of Polymers<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This Blended Intensive Program consisted of three phases, starting with a Virtual Introduction (15<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> February \u2013 12<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> March 2022), an International Week in Girona (14<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 19<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> March 2022), and finally a Virtual follow-up (20<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> March \u2013 30<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> April 2022). The BIP was organized in the frame of the<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.euclidesnet.eu\/\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Euclides<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> network with the financial support of<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/erasmus-plus.ec.europa.eu\/\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Erasmus<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the International Week, the students attended lectures from experts (both industry and academy) in the field of polymer synthesis, mechanical and chemical recycling, eco-design, and sustainability assessment, among others. In addition, they had the opportunity to visit the facilities from the University of Girona dedicated to polymer processing and characterization, as well as a company from the plastic recycling business.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To open the first day of the BIP, the University of Girona invited Dr. Josep Nadal, technical manager at Concentrol, as a keynote speaker. There, he was able to talk about polymers in the chemical industry, about the circularity of the polymers that Concentrol produces, and share existing bio-based alternatives to plastic polymers. He also took the opportunity to briefly introduce the company and its efforts to reduce environmental impact to international students.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image
