[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=”532580″]It is well-known that silicone surfactants are commonly used in paints and coatings to enhance surface properties. However, these surfactants contribute to foam stabilization in the different systems, which often leads to need for higher doses of antifoaming agents. While these additives help to control foam, their use can lead to several issues such as poor levelling and different defects in the final coating.<\/span><\/p>\n

In many applications, it\u2019s desirable to have silicone surfactants with low foam formation, reducing the need for additional antifoaming agents in the formulation.<\/span><\/p>\n

SLP-35 is a new additive with certain defoaming effect<\/strong>. Unlike traditional silicone surfactants that can stabilize foam, SLP-35 has a significantly lower foam stabilization effect. This makes it an excellent solution to helps foam collapse in different systems.<\/span><\/p>\n

RESULTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n

In this comparative we can observe at time zero that SLP-35 forms less foam than the reference. Over the past of time, it is observed that foam is disappearing. At-30 min there isn\u2019t foam in SLP-35 test tube while SLP-10 still has stabilized foam.<\/span>SLP-35 has a certain defoaming effect stabilizing foam less than a reference product.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n

If we look at the surface tension graph, we can observe that they exhibit a similar behaviour achieving the same minima of surface tension. They are universal additives with a medium-high reduction in surface tension.<\/p>\n
